Berwick Legal provides support, advice and representation to our clients, in both business and personal matters.

We provide experienced and effective representation for all court matters on a solicitor client (fee paying) basis, we do not represent or accept legal aid matters.

This team is lead by our managing partner Christopher Andrews, Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice Administration), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Post Graduate Diploma (Criminology) who was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in 1999 after serving almost ten years with Victoria Police during which - amongst other duties – he was an instructor at the Victoria Police Academy for three years. Chris has had extensive experience with almost thirty years in the Criminal Justice System both as a policeman and as a criminal lawyer. Accordingly he has an intimate knowledge of the legal system from both perspectives of policeman and defence lawyer.

Here at Berwicklegal we recognise that dealing with the criminal justice system can be a traumatic experience, especially if you are in trouble with the law for the first time or a seasoned veteran. It is very important to obtain quality legal advice before committing yourself to any interview or agreement. Even a small mistake or oversight now can lead to very substantial problems in the future.

We act in all criminal matters ranging from traffic offences in the Magistrates’ Court through to trials in the Supreme Court of Victoria. We have experience in the Magistrates', County and Supreme Courts. We can represent client’s charged with matters relating to:

Criminal Offences

If you have been charged or have charges or a police interview pending such as theft, fraud, assault, drugs charges children’s court and/or an intervention order (Crimes Family Violence), the only way to ensure your interests are protected is to get an experienced lawyer involved in your case at the earliest stage.

Our services ensures you receive the highest level of skill and experience required for your needs and we can ensure that each case receives personal attention without delegation.

If you have been charged with any traffic offences such as drink driving, speeding, drive whilst disqualified, drive whilst suspended or drug driving offenses, exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol, or driving under the influence, the only way to ensure your interests are protected is to get an experienced criminal lawyer involved in your case at the earliest stage.

Our services ensure you receive the highest level of skill and experience required for your needs and we can ensure that each case receives personal attention without delegation.
